Seriously though, I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been walked in on- I’d say about a dozen or so? Super awkward. To quote Judge Reinhold’s character Brad in Fast Times At Ridgemont High… “Doesn’t anyone fucking knock anymore?”

Well…

Funny story, I had to wake up super early today (like 7am) because my friend Shelia (whose guest bedroom I am currently occupying) had to get to The University of Texas (aka the prestigious UT) to go to class. So I make coffee and I take it in the car and chug it because the lid was being stupid and I didn’t want it to get everywhere. So we get to UT and I find a coffee place where I can sit and get on the interwebs but the place is asking me for all this student log in information which I don’t have because I’m not a student there. My best friend Zuri however is a student there so I ask her for her log in information but I still can’t long on because I don’t know how to properly work a Mac. Then I get a call from Shelia saying the professor decided to start class on Monday instead of in the middle of the week (which makes a lot more sense I think.) So then we get in here car and go to the other side of campus to her office. (Cuz she works here yo.) I decide to head over to this near by coffee shop and try to get on the interwebs again.

For those of you who don’t know much about Austin, it is not only the capitol of Texas, but the hipster capitol of the world. I’m talking skinny jeans, handle bar moustaches, crop tops, tattoos and dreadlocks galore- which is cool, whatever. I felt bad just sitting there using their wifi, so I bought a small cup of blended coffee which ran me about five bucks. As I sat there drinking my frozen coffee, I started singing along to “Lithium” by Evanescence and I heard “The Change” live acoustic for the first time ever and of course I got all emotional (like a dork) and started tearing up a bit, but no one really seamed to notice. That’s one of the things I like about coffee shops, there are a lot of people around but you can still be alone- I think coffee shops are going to be my new thing.

Later, we get in the car and head to lunch at Rudy’s BBQ. If any of you go to southwest Texas you have to eat there because their BBQ is amazing! Seriously, it’s so freaking good. After lunch, we head to a nearby mall because Shelia needed to get her hair cut. The first thing I do at any mall is scope it out and zero in on the nearest Hot Topic store. This particular Hot Topic didn’t have any Evanescence merch that I didn’t already have, so that was a bummer Speaking of Ev merch, today I’m wearing the Ev shirt that I got at the concert last month. I can’t believe it’s been that long since I’ve last seen Ev, time goes by so fast! Anyways, I got a shirt that was on clearance and some three dollar clearance perfume (because I’m poor as fuck.) There was a beautiful black lace dress on clearance that I almost bought but then I realized that A.) I would never wear it and B.) I already have a dress like that in my closet… which I never wear and C.) I should probably save as much of my money as I can. After I get done at Hot Topic, I walk around the mall some more and go check on Shelia at the hair cutting place. When I see her, I’m how shocked by how much different she looks. Her hair cut makes her look even more beautiful- if that’s even possible, and I hate her. (Not really, but kinda. :P) Then we get in the car, go to the library then go pick up her little girl from day care. Now were back at her place, and I’m super exhausted with all that running around. I’m pretty sure I crashed after all the caffeine I consumed today. I still have to register for one more summer class- today is my last day to do so, and tomorrow I’m headed to a cabin with my school appointed mentor. What one does at a cabin I’m not sure but I’ll be sure to let you all know how that goes.
